Community Conscience - Giving Back

Community Conscience - Giving Back

The largest motivation for starting up this company was the idea of 'Giving back' to those less fortunate than ourselves and helping out those who don't have the opportunities we have in our everyday lives. The largest reward for us would be for Children in third world countries to have access to an education so 2Kool4Skool.com.au will be 'giving back' in the form of providing financial assistance to target schools in Countries less fortunate than our own.

Do you have a charity or passion that you feel strongly about? We'd love for you to share your story with us so we can add it here and spread the love and awareness to others.. every little bit helps..

The SISTER2sister Program started in Sydney in 2004 and expanded to Melbourne in 2009. The Program  takes in 50 'Little Sisters'  (at risk teenage girls)  per year and partners them with a positive female role model to be their 'Big Sister'. The Big Sister is chosen to  provide support, guidance and advice over the course of the 12 month program period.

Little Sister's get to bond with their Big Sister during 'Butterfly Bootcamp' and regular monthly meets and so far the program has reaped positive rewards and outcomes for many of their participants..

At the end of the annual program, SISTER2sister reports that 'the girls have been equipped with the knowledge and skills to break the cycle of trauma and/or abuse'.

More information about the program, how to apply to be a Little/Big Sister and advice on how to help out this fantastic cause can be found on their website.

Brisbane station B105's Christmas appeal is in full swing this week raising money for the Royal Children's hospital to purchase vital medical equipment they need to help sick kids.  I don't think anyone is immune to the messages  they play on the radio telling the stories of  the children who have gone through far too much for their young years ~ it is heart breaking and I often see people dabbing at their eyes while driving when these stories are on.. some people full on bawling.. because it is true, it can happen to anyone at anytime..

Dig deep and go and check out this great cause & even after the appeal is ended the Royal Children's Hospital will always gratefully accept donations no matter how big or small.
